No. HealMen is a training program, not a clinical service. Think of it like the difference between a gym and a hospital — you don’t need a diagnosis to benefit. For some men, it makes therapy optional. For men already in therapy, it makes the work more effective because you’re practicing daily, not just once a week.
Avoidant attachment is a learned pattern — usually formed before age five — where the nervous system learns that emotional needs won’t be met. In adult relationships it shows up as withdrawal under intimacy and the reflex to pull away exactly when a partner needs closeness. If you pull away when things get close, you likely have it. It’s trainable. That’s what HealMen builds toward.
